Acadian Organic Liquid Seaweed Concentrate

Acadian Organic Liquid Seaweed Concentrate is intended for plants and tray-grown crops with established roots. It should not be added to soaking or rinsing water used for jar-grown edible sprouts.

Important: Microgreens, Not Jar Sprouts

Acadian can be used for:

• Tray-grown microgreens
• Wheatgrass
• Seedlings
• Herbs
• Vegetables
• Flowers
• Other suitable established plants

Do not add Acadian to:

• Sprouting-jar soaking water
• Sprout-rinsing water
• Broccoli sprouts grown solely in water
• Alfalfa sprouts grown solely in water
• Mung bean sprouts grown solely in water
• Lentil sprouts grown solely in water
• Other jar-grown edible sprouts

Jar-grown sprouts normally require clean drinking-quality water rather than supplementary fertiliser or biostimulant solutions.

Root-Zone Dilution

For soil, coco fibre and similar growing media, use approximately:

3.5ml Acadian per 1 litre of water

Practical quantities:

• 1 litre water: approximately 3.5ml Acadian
• 2 litres water: approximately 7ml Acadian
• 5 litres water: approximately 17.5ml Acadian
• 10 litres water: approximately 35ml Acadian

Measure the concentrate accurately rather than estimating.

How to Mix

1. Shake the concentrate: Shake the container well before use.
2. Measure the water: Add the required amount of clean water to your watering container.
3. Measure the concentrate: Add approximately 3.5ml of Acadian for each litre of water.
4. Mix thoroughly: Disperse the concentrate evenly through the water.
5. Apply to the root zone: Water the growing medium rather than unnecessarily wetting edible foliage.
6. Avoid waterlogging: Apply only the amount of solution required by the crop and growing medium.

Do not increase the concentration in an attempt to accelerate growth.

Using Acadian with Microgreens

Supplementary feeding is optional for many short-duration microgreen crops.

When growing in coco fibre or another relatively low-nutrient medium:

1. Germinate the crop using its normal growing method.
2. Allow the seedlings to establish a healthy root system.
3. Prepare Acadian at approximately 3.5ml per litre of water.
4. Apply the diluted solution to the growing medium or root zone.
5. Avoid soaking the foliage unnecessarily.
6. Continue normal watering with clean water as required.

For a short microgreen crop, repeated fertiliser applications may not be necessary.

Always assess the crop, growing medium and harvest period rather than assuming every microgreen variety requires supplementary feeding.

Using Acadian with Wheatgrass

1. Soak and pre-germinate the wheatgrass seed normally.
2. Sow into the prepared growing medium.
3. Allow the shoots and root system to establish.
4. Prepare Acadian at approximately 3.5ml per litre of water.
5. Apply the diluted solution lightly to the growing medium or through the root zone.
6. Avoid saturating the tray.
7. Resume normal watering with clean water afterward.
8. Harvest the wheatgrass at the appropriate stage.

Supplementary feeding is optional during the relatively short wheatgrass growing cycle.

Using with Coco Fibre

Coco fibre provides physical support, moisture retention and root-zone aeration, but it should not automatically be treated as a complete source of plant nutrition.

Acadian may be used as a supplementary input for crops grown in coco fibre, particularly once roots have become established.

For longer-duration crops, Acadian alone should not be assumed to provide all required nutrients. Use an appropriately balanced fertiliser or nutrient program for the particular plant.

Hydroponic Growing

Do not automatically use the general 3.5ml/L soil-drench dilution in a hydroponic reservoir.

Hydroponic systems can require different application rates and nutrient management.

If using Acadian in a hydroponic system:

1. Follow the application directions appropriate to the particular crop and system.
2. Do not substitute the soil-drench concentration without confirming it is suitable.
3. Use a properly formulated hydroponic nutrient as the primary nutrient source where required.
4. Treat Acadian as a supplementary biostimulant rather than a complete hydroponic fertiliser.

Application Frequency

The product label allows soil-drench applications at intervals during the growing season, but short-duration crops such as microgreens and wheatgrass generally do not require the same repeated application schedule as longer-growing plants.

For short crops, use supplementary feeding conservatively and according to the needs of the crop and growing medium.

Storage & Handling

• Shake well before use.
• Keep the container securely closed.
• Store away from intense sunlight and heat.
• Protect from freezing.
• Keep away from children and food.
• Protect the concentrate from contamination.
• Do not ingest the concentrate or diluted solution.
• Clean up spills promptly because concentrated seaweed products may create a slippery surface.
• Always follow the directions supplied with the product.
