Australian Wheatgrass: testing outcome and customer update

This page summarises the outcome of the seed testing and explains the next steps for Australian Wheatgrass customers.

The outcome of the testing

Based on APVMA’s interpretation of the laboratory results, the affected Australian Wheatgrass products were:

• Green Mustard
• Beetroot (Bulls Blood)
• Coriander

All other products included in the testing were cleared. This outcome relates to the Australian Wheatgrass products included in that testing.

What should I do if I still have stock?

Please do not use recalled Australian Wheatgrass stock of the three affected products above. Keep your order confirmation and any product label or batch details you have. If you are unsure which stock you hold, contact the liquidator below with those details.

Why was there a delay in this update?

We arranged laboratory testing and sought guidance from the relevant authorities to interpret the results. By the time APVMA’s interpretation became available, Australian Wheatgrass had entered liquidation. I’m sorry for the uncertainty and disruption this caused customers.

Include your name, order number or receipt, purchase date, products, amount claimed and the reason for your claim. If you disposed of stock following earlier instructions, explain this and include any receipts or correspondence you still have.

Ask for the claim form and lodgement instructions.

The liquidator can advise how to lodge a claim and what evidence is needed. Lodging a claim does not guarantee payment.

Remaining Australian Wheatgrass stock is being sold through OzSprout under an arrangement with the liquidator. The arrangement requires records of sales and related costs, with any surplus after those costs payable to the liquidation account.
