Prefer your greens already grown? Find out how to enquire about a fresh crop and care for your produce after collection or delivery.
Do you sell fresh sprouts and microgreens as well as seeds?
Yes. Our Fresh Sprouts & Microgreens collection lists crops including broccoli sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, pea shoots and broccoli microgreens. Availability must be confirmed for your order.
How do I order fresh produce?
Email admin@ozsprout.com.au with the crop, quantity and date you need it. Fresh crops are grown to order. We confirm requirements, availability and timing before growing; they are not regular ready-to-dispatch seed products.
How much notice do I need to give?
Lead time depends on the crop and growing schedule. Enquire as early as possible and wait for a confirmed date. The usual 0–2-business-day dispatch estimate for stocked orders is not a fresh-crop growing promise.
What if the fresh product page says sold out?
Use the email enquiry process to ask about a future crop. A listing is not a confirmation of availability for your date. Include the quantity and your location so we can advise you.
Can I collect fresh produce or have it delivered?
Confirm collection or delivery arrangements for your crop and location before placing the order. Fresh produce needs suitable handling, so do not assume the parcel options for dry seeds also apply. Wait for confirmation before travelling to collect.
Can I order for a café, restaurant or event?
You can enquire about event quantities or regular supply. Email the varieties, quantities, required dates and collection or delivery needs. We will confirm what is available and the timing for your request.
How should I store fresh sprouts and microgreens?
Refrigerate promptly at 5°C or below. Keep produce in its packaging or a clean food-safe container, protected from contamination, crushing and excess moisture. Return it to the fridge promptly after serving.
How long will fresh produce keep?
Follow the use-by and storage information supplied with your order and use promptly. Shelf life varies by crop and handling. Discard produce that becomes slimy, mouldy or otherwise spoiled; normal appearance does not prove that raw produce is free from harmful bacteria.
Should I wash sprouts and microgreens before eating?
Follow the preparation instructions for the product. Our fresh broccoli microgreen guidance recommends washing under cool running drinking-quality water immediately before use, then draining well. Washing does not eliminate the food-safety risks associated with raw sprouts.
Are raw sprouts suitable for everyone?
Raw or lightly cooked sprouts can cause food poisoning. People with lower immunity, including pregnant people and young children, should avoid them. NSW Food Authority recommends thorough cooking of sprouts. See the current NSW Food Authority advice.
What should I do if there is a problem with my fresh order?
Contact us promptly with the order number, photos and a description of the issue. Follow the supplied storage instructions and do not eat produce that may be spoiled. We will assess the issue under our refund policy and applicable consumer rights.
