Find answers about choosing, storing and using nuts, dried fruit and nut butters. For ingredients, allergens and storage directions, always check the individual product page and the label on your pack.
How should I store nuts?
Keep nuts in a clean, airtight container away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Refrigeration can help maintain freshness, especially after opening or for longer storage. Follow the individual pack directions.
How should I store dried fruit?
Reseal the pack promptly or transfer the fruit to an airtight container. Keep it cool, dry and away from sunlight. Refrigeration may help in warm or humid conditions; follow the product label and protect the fruit from moisture.
Should nut butter be refrigerated after opening?
Follow the storage instructions on the jar. Refrigeration suits many natural nut butters and can help them keep longer, but directions vary between products. Keep the lid closed and use a clean, dry spoon.
Is oil separation in nut butter normal?
Natural nut oils can separate during storage. Our Almond Nut Butter may separate because it has no added stabilisers; stir thoroughly to restore an even texture. Discard products with mould, an unusual odour or other signs of spoilage.
How long do nuts, dried fruit and nut butters keep?
There is no single shelf life for the whole range. Check the date and storage directions on your pack, including any instructions after opening. If you need a particular best-before date for a large order, contact us before purchasing so we can check the available stock.
Where can I find ingredients and allergen information?
Read the individual product page and the label on the product supplied, including any “contains” and “may contain” statements. Recipes and packing arrangements can differ. If information is missing or unclear, contact OzSprout before ordering.
Are these products suitable for someone with a food allergy?
Suitability must be checked product by product. Nuts and nut butters contain their named nuts or peanuts, and some products carry additional allergen warnings. Do not assume a plain or single-ingredient product is free from cross-contact. Check the current label and ask us if you need clarification.
Do the products contain added sugar, salt, oil or preservatives?
This varies by product. Check the ingredient list rather than assuming that every dried fruit, nut mix or spread has the same recipe. Our Almond Nut Butter lists almonds as its only ingredient; other products should be checked separately.
Are your nuts raw or roasted?
The range includes different preparations. Look for the product name and processing information to see whether an item is raw, roasted, salted or otherwise prepared. Read the ingredient list for added oils, salt or flavourings.
Are all products organic or Australian grown?
No single claim applies to the entire collection. Check the individual listing for organic status and country of origin. “Made in Australia” and “grown in Australia” describe different things, so use the product’s specific origin information.
Can I buy larger packs or bulk quantities?
Available sizes are shown on each product page. For a quantity or pack size that is not listed, contact us to check availability before ordering. Stock and pack options vary by product.
Can I use nut butters and dried fruit in cooking?
Yes. Nut butters can be used in suitable sauces, dressings, smoothies and baking; dried fruit can be added to breakfast bowls, baked goods and snack mixes. Choose a product whose flavour, ingredients and texture suit the recipe, and account for its allergens when serving others.
What if a product is sold out?
Check the product page for current availability. If you need an item for a particular date, contact us to ask about stock before planning your order. A sold-out listing does not guarantee a restock date.
Where can I find delivery, pickup or order help?
See our Orders, Delivery & Pickup FAQ. If something arrives damaged or appears spoiled, contact us with your order number and photos so we can investigate.
